The Land of Things We Wish For (Children's picturebook - 24 pages) - A touching story of Sophia, a little girl who has a tantrum because her mother doesn't buy the toy that she just HAS to have. Sophia gets ready for bed and just a few minutes after her mother closes her door a magical dragon appears! This dragon transports Sophia to The Land of Things We Wish for, where everyone's dreams come true. Once there, she realizes that people are wishing very different wishes than her own. Some wish for food to eat and clothes to wear, in the end Sophia realizes how very lucky she is and learns to be more content with what she already has. This book (text and illustrations) are fully completed.
Twelve From Memory Lane (Children's poetry with pen and ink illustrations - 20 pages) - This book transports you to a simpler time. Remember when a whole afternoon could be spent on the playground immersed in an imaginary world of wonder? This book is full of witty, humorous children's poems and great black and white illustrations (in the spirit of Shel Silverstien's, "Where the Sidewalk Ends.) This book is fully completed.
Bubba and the Stickman (Children's picturebook - 22 pages) - Bubba is overweight and doesn't feel very good about himself so he has no friends to play with. Every night he goes to his room and creates a world of his own on his drawing pad. One night he draws a special character, "The Stickman" who leaps from the pad! The Stickman takes Bubba on a confidence-building adventure and makes him realize that he is special and does deserve to be happy! Text is completed and the illustrations are 25% complete.
